6.30

Year 6.30 was bitter sweet. My Monday chiropractor appointment was a leg treatment that resulted in a hurt skin. It would take me more than a week to heal.

Day two was morning holiday for me before my leave is confiscated! I’m all too happy working on song subtitles. The morning rest is good.

Wednesday was leaders meeting and some were shocked i had my fair share of questions to which I got a call. Here debate is discouraged.

Day four was morning leaders budget meeting, and it was ok because it didn’t eat too much of my time. I have baptism sermon on my plate.

Friday was English breakfast and my two coworkers are doing fine. It’s better working on breakfast time than over an empty room.

Day six was busy day with Holland pastors trying and night fellowship Christmas party. I’m happy it my last training. The fellowship testimony was good.

Sunday was packed with icc worship, English worship and baptism sermon! At night we had solstice dinner with family and John and victor.

6.28

Year 6.28 was a dizzy week for me. On Monday I woke up to a fainting spell when I lie down or wake up. I carried on as usual but I was conscious I needed to be careful. I mentored Alliance Ivan on preaching. He’s a new found person waiting to go.

Day two was a good fifth week so I can catch up with sermon preparation for Rev 8 next week. It’s not getting easier.

Wednesday morning was my leave so I could only work on my sermon in the afternoon. I made myself wake up after 8.

Day four was a breakthrough. I figured I could use my sickness for sermon introduction.

Friday was lunch with a young staff leaving for csw. It’s quite a merry go round lately.

Day six was core then fellowship and later worship. I was glad buddy is improving by leaps and bounds in grammar. I didn’t dare to look back at my old Rom 1 afterwards.

On Sunday I treated the newly weds Lams and a few others to lunch as pastoral courtesy. Praise God I can encourage them.

6.27

Year 6.27 was a big week for buddy and I. First we had a big velo thanksgiving lunch with her wife that started from 1130am till 130pm when I had to go for my chiropractor appointment.

Day two was leaders meeting and I did not get the votes to lead to buddy’s disappointment. I felt little for myself because my work is more than sanctum leadership.

Wednesday was another big case on divorce. I got the manual to make sure we know the headquarters viewpoint.

Day four was meeting an old islander who is interested to put grammar bible on video! That would be interesting!

Friday was a normal day but I encouraged buddy and new appointee. I’m really glad my tenure is done and i can plough on with mentoring and writing.

Day six was Holland online training day two and at night I went for a foot masssge because my right foot froze two days ago.

Sunday was handing wontons to v who’s been an angel helping out. D announced his wedding next month.

6.21

Year 6.21 was not comfy but ok. Monday was a usual week of buying flowers and seeing a chiropractor.

Day two was a typhoon day that arrived a day earlier. It was a big day because I finished translating the study questions from Women in the Bible.

Wednesday was starting on translating Doris’ healing book.

Besides we got to wait out the storm that left at night, but I survived admirably with or without swimming.

Day four was a public holiday and I waited for the pool to open at 3pm after spending restless hours at home.

Friday was a new work day after the typhoon. I had to catch up with sermon work and trying to get unstuck on Revelation.

Day six was a day of complain I could do without a name. On fellowship day my class with Matthew did not materialize but I’m glad to see him involved in fellowship regardless of program.

On Sunday I survived Sunday school despite a lack of students due typhoon. Three weeks on Ecclesiastes wisdom is truly a lot.

6.20

Year 6.20 was less than ideal. On Monday I picked up a new mentee who is buddy’s sheep, but he needs help in preaching and teaching.

Day two worship meeting was one I did not attend but trusted my two coworkers to represent the ministries. Harry gave a good lecture for the coworkers.

Wednesday was prayer gone awry and we lost another because changing names were annoying to the person.

Day four was farewell lunch for Liverpool bound coworkers. Eight strong were there to send the person off.

Friday was a good day to start on Rev 10 template. The book is getting harder and worse.

Typhoon struck fiercely and I ended up watching Squid and getting an illustration idea. Home is best staycation!

Sunday was a good worship day after the typhoon left, but the uncertainty persists with fellowship.

6.19

Year 6.19 was a long, tiring weekend. On Monday I did my usual flower shopping abs then visited my chiropractor. Dinner was with buddy and wife, whom I haven’t seen for two months.

On Tuesday I talked to Jose to see if his deacon friend could help out. Other than that my neighbor coworker is doing fine.

On Wednesday I had to work harder on my Sunday sermon. It’s still not in shape but there’s no good way to talk about Revelation 6!

Day four was a stark realization that tomorrow is a holiday, so I have one day less on my sermon. It’s a hot 34 degrees day so I went night swimming for the first time.

On Friday I went to window shopping for swim wear but the shop had major renovations. At night was another swimming day.

Day six was morning was core meeting. The team still has room for improvement and the meeting went on forever.

Sunday was teaching Ecclesiastes 8 in Sunday school, followed by preaching then retreat. Two young guns were unhappy with our name.

6.18

Week 6.18 did not have a happy ending. Monday was haircut day due mid autumn tomorrow and Doris day Wednesday. I can’t stand the chance that the shops might be closed.

Day two was mid autumn dinner with my young friends and philosopher newcomer. I’m the biggest cheerleader on festive occasions but I miss Doris and two.

Wednesday was a holiday and I got together with Doris’ Canada friends for a good buffet and bought a Mona Lisa tumbler for gz son.

Day four was meeting with seniors team that I inherited lately with restructuring. I told them to auto run and I don’t want them to have two bosses with my interference. Dinner with under pressure buddy and our former partners was a blast.

Friday was sentimental because I miss two who’s got 000000 now.   Can’t believe it’s been three years since i went to the embassy. Pray for twos well-being.

Day four was frantically looking at next week’s sermon on Rev 6! I joined rehearsal and later had dinner with buddy who needs support.

Sunday school was exciting and newcomers got the hang of it. Ecclesiastes 7 was a gem even in class!

6.17

Week 6.17 was agm week. Monday was a mistake day when I forgot my wallet and had to return to pay noodle store after borrowing $100 from staff when I could not convince a supermarket to give me cash from my octopus. At least store let me walk away!

Day two was breakfast with MJ, followed by new leaders prayer and lunch. It’s going to be a steep learning curve for many. I’m able to hold my own and more but it’s not about me.

Wednesday was restful as I took half day compensation from our retreat. Night was night leaders turn as it ended a merciful 11pm.

I’m looking forward to debut of four new coworkers reps.

Day four was gym night and the debut of Jessie whom I took for dinner before sports. He’s as jumpy as you can get but he’s not settled after his quarantine.

Friday was a slow day but I began working on Rev 9 with no results! It gets harder by the chapter.

Day six was a talk with a disgrunt who did not understand the moral implications of bad advice but blamed the victims instead.

Sunday was a big agm day and I had no rest. I served the same church ten years, but nine because I was half time first two years. Buddy was worse praying daily for strength. I thought about my prayer - it’s only to last the day. Nevertheless I’m in a good condition.

6.16

Week 6.16 was a blessed week despite my busy week. Monday was spent at retreat dividing the 🥧. I was calm with my added workload. The new group is quite open and honest.

Day two was bye and a return to coworkers meeting. Buddy was tired but I caught a few winks. It’s a challenge now that M is sick and a big hole is present.

Wednesday was no let up as we said farewell to old leaders with a B lunch at Yuen Long. The front was very spacious.

Day four was the last north point day training twelve coworkers but it was tiring after a long retreat. I took a short nap and had to get back to work on Rev 5.

I was almost done with the sermon the next day and then joined our department meeting, where we agreed to change our name to Mandarin Department. At night I translated two entries for father Mui for his cancer blog.

Day six we told the department committee of the change of name. All was unanimous not to stick our neck out in the present circumstances!

Sunday was sermon time. It could be better but I gave it all I got. The next time at mandarin would be better! Andy dinner was a blast with my young friends and their girlfriends.

6.15

Week 6.15 was retreat week. Monday morning was breakfast with neighbor Ed to find out how he’s doing looking for a new ministry. Afternoon tea was with old friend P, who wanted to take me out for my birthday.

Day two was a luxury at work because we have no meeting on the fifth Tuesdays. We had yum cha to the slower day. The next leadership will take their place next week.

Wednesday was preparation for the weekend retreat, which means I have to work on Ecclesiastes 7 ppt before the week is over, as I also have to preach on Rev 5!

Day four was preaching training for North Point, followed by lunch with buddy, Ivan and rev chow. It’s such a pity a good man could not find a ministry.

Friday was the last day for me to finish Ecclesiastes and Revelation. I think I have done enough for next week’s kick-off. M sickness reminded us life is fragile.

Day six began with Saturday core. I was happy my new team was pulling together. We had lunch together and talked about recent happenings.

Sunday was a big day as we have to go to retreat at 4 after a couples lunch which I decided not to go because I was reminded my wife is not there! All went ok at night but we got tons of things to resolve.

6.13

Week 6.13 was a lively post-birthday week. On Monday birthday proper the Mok family took me out for buffet, then I had tea with buddy, followed by Oz Chan for dinner.

Day two was a post-birthday all meeting day, except for drinks with coworkers. I don’t get much done on Tuesdays.

Wednesday was an interesting day because I managed to look through the translation on Doris’ new blog. Night leaders meeting was a horror as I left at 115am but I was glad I caught the bus in ten minutes!

Day four I was so tired but I managed to lead the North Point preaching seminar and had lunch with Nehemiah and Connie.

Friday was a big day because I found a video converter and a video merger website! I managed to edit a lot of old videos of Doris and uploaded it.

Day six was busy with icc, then purchased  flowers and got a haircut to remember Doris,  and later join Ronald for lunch.

Sunday was monthly anniversary of Doris’ loss but I had to attend restructuring meeting.

Anyway I must say I’m doing well for all the drama!

6.12

Year 6.12 is birthday week. On Monday I had farewell dinner with P with G joining us at our usual Vietnamese restaurant, followed by drinks at another place.

Day two was breakfast with a concerned brother D over mistreatment by leaders. The day rolled by fast with two in school this week.

Wednesday morning was leaders meeting and I am glad we’re almost dissolving soon because we’re like all things that are changing in hk, yet there’s no future form yet.

Day four lunch was with former intern and his former supervisor. It was expensive at nearby R but I’m not the host. It was also the end of four days of preaching class for interns. The video will be priceless.

Friday was bd lunch with staff and they roared in laughter when I said, hk Add oil!

Day six was MJ lunch at festival walk. I don’t know they serve lunch there. Older Sibling was anxious I would reveal ther person’s dating and date.

Our staff gave Ting a farewell luncheon before baptism. I took F home to join others guys for my bd bash and we had a blast, durian and all plus prayer.

6.11

Year 6.11 was drama to go. Monday was changing ID, as promoted by Mok sisters’ scare tactics. I got back to my chiropractor on time so I didn’t have to cancel.

Day two was worship meeting represented by new E coworker J. I happily sponsored tea for departing P and gave the person the full treatment.

Wednesday was prayer with new and old leaders. Lots of work is expected. I met SP but did not think I’m best fitted or used. Like I always say, I’m just a human doing.

Day four lunch and tea with interns was enjoyable. Just hope they enjoy my seminars. I heard a good revival lecture but murmured, Why are lecturers good and their grads so so?

Friday breakfast was with tardy Calvin but this time he was earlier than me! I gave ten books to his first year classmates.

Day six core was better than I thought but much work must be done with one less coworker.

Sunday was a good day as we had a farewell luncheon and I continued to interact with newcomers and invited some to my home for dinner next week.

6.10

Year 6.10 was our anniversary. On Monday I went to get my Saturday-broken glasses fixed and bought a new pair for spare because everything now is so unpredictable. After that we had an urgent staff zoom.

Day two was farewell to young guest. I had an invaluable insight into teen lifestyle. I think it would help me to better care for them in the future. I was successfully invisible mostly.

Wednesday was busy with a morning leaders prayer and a new leaders team meeting at noon, where I expressed surprise at a candidate missing. All is up in the air.

Day four was a happy intern preaching class instruction that took me two hours to complete. I’ll transfer the materials for others to teach. The interns are especially excited.

On Friday a youth told me the persons birthday but the person has no friends and the family is sick. Such is life because the person’s friend selection is sensitive.

Day six was big because it’s our anniversary. I bought orchids but buddy bought a bouquet, it’s hard to be untouched by the act. At night I was invited by buddy to preach which was my best in Cantonese to date.

Sunday was a good day because I finally got to visit icc ladies whose missionary is still stuck in Indonesia. This is my second week joining youth fellowship big group. I think I’m ready to plug the gap.

6.9

Year 6.9 was noteworthy for my turn to speak at coworkers chapel and interns preaching class that got going. Monday was a normal day for flowers purchase and a  chiropractor visit.  The only dilemma is that I didn’t get to shower in the morning.

Day two’s chapel turned out good especially the crazy songs. Q testimony also went well. Hopefully it’ll be my last now that leadership has disbanded.

On Wednesday I got my haircut to remember Doris but I had to take an indirect way because I almost forgot! At night we had the all important leaders meeting to elect new leaders, but it was not smooth.

Day four was another month remembering Doris loss! The interns preaching class response was excellent because I pieced all notes exactly right. We had tea with a student.

On Friday morning I had breakfast with couple fellowship Ed talking about Grammar!   Immediately after, we had handover talks and lunch plus dessert!

Day six was quickly here. The youth were here for rehearsal and I stayed around a bit. Fellowship was at night, so I stayed behind.

Sunday was a big v birthday. Sadly guys will have to hear a departure sharing that I avoided but it turned out I got to talk to a law student newcomer. I kinda found out I have to do more among the guys with the lack of help, but so far we are doing fine.

6.8

Year 6.8 was a tricky week. On Monday I happily finished my nicodemus sermon from John 4, so I’m just one sermon away from my second Jesus series, with Paul’s conversion the last one.

On day two I was awarded a ten years denomination souvenir. It doesn’t seem that long or I have done that much because I was part time for the first two years. There’s much to be done in the tumultuous days ahead. Definitely not for the faint-hearted or the undecided.

On Wednesday I was getting ready for my chapel service message next week. It sure eats into my time, glad it’s my EC last. We had a good guys prayer meeting with two dropping out.

Day four was Canadian bound lunch with ZY and our coworkers. They are planning to leave by next summer with a few alum applying to the same school.

On Friday we met with a former coworker hoping the latter would return. We will know by next month. Enough said, the person is reading😃! There’s so little time to serve locally because the times are uncertain and we are aging. I’m 60 and counting down.

Day six was a buddy chat before fellowship, where my colleague did a wonderful synthesis of the 20th century church in China.

Sunday was hard because group leaders were notified of a departure. My coworker did a video for my 文法聖經 which will be classic. I’ll be looking forward to bb night next week with newcomers C and F joining. They joined us for lunch today.

6.7

Year 6.7 was the last week of Ecclesiastes Sunday school. Monday was a relaxing day off as I purchased flowers and visited my chiropractor.

Day two was voting day for new structure leaders, where I was selected. It’s not a shoo-in and I’m torn between the choices. It was announced coworker P would be returning to USA to be replaced by J.

Wednesday was leaders prayer meeting but there was nothing to share except to fill pastoral holes, with more coming. We had tea with Jeffield for his birthday.

Day four was with T to find out if seniors need help. I’m working on revelation 6 in the meantime. K confirmed family is leaving mid December.

Suddenly it’s Friday and I checked a coworkers sermon for next week. Person’s got ways to go but it’s a good start.

Day four was lunch with a sister who’s lost in love. I’m at a loss as how to help her second time around merely months apart.

Sunday was last Sunday school and my two songs were a hit. Even SZ laughed like crazy over zoom!

6.6

Year 6.6 was a good week with a worship sermon to top it. Monday was bland without buddy but I had lots to do other than a chiropractor visit.

Day two was week off for coworkers meeting so we strolled to yum cha. It was needed time to work on my Revelation 4 sermon that is a few days off.

Wednesday was the second last day to work in my sermon because Thursday is a public holiday. I think it would be ready by Friday. I must admit I enjoy the preparation.

Day four was a public holiday so I took v n E out for lunch. They ended up paying and v told about his potential gf, to which we shook our heads.

Friday was back to work and finally finishing up my sermon proper. It’s beautiful as is! I stayed at home rest  for the coming weekend.

Day six was morning core followed by lunch, 3pm hr, short tea with buddy and xb, ending with fellowship.

Sunday was spit fire day and I did my best. I welcomed a few to the English worship and then pth fellowship later. It’s on me with staff leaving.

6.5

Year 6.5 ended with preaching the last chapter of 2 Peter! On Monday I had my haircut to remember 5.1 year anniversary of Doris’ loss the next day. The rest of the day was slower but still meaningful with buddy and xb.

Day two was my turn to share my mvp for the new structure, which I did with five Ds to introduce myself- different, direct, determined, delightful and dutiful!

Wednesday was full gear preparation for Sunday’s sermon. I had to do sermon and translation, which is much harder, but the text is exciting.

Day four was half day but I had lunch with new pastor Terry and tea with departing Daniel. The latter will be missed in admin and support.

Friday was full steam ahead and I got the last illustration to close it out by lunch. C announced a change of plans to our shock! I declined tea with P and D.

Day six was thinking hard for next week’s Revelation 4, but at least I got a virus story to tell.

Sunday was a good Sunday school and preaching day, richly rewarded by v for Father’s Day breakfast and E lunch treat. P called me for tea and we watched parts of seminary graduation.

6.3

Year 6.3 took an emotional toll on coworkers and members. On Monday I had lunch with a Y young man who is planning to go to Canada with his family and a few fellow alum families. The exodus has truly begun.

Day two was tense because I had my third and final round of talks with a coworker to see if he’s returning. I am glad my preaching week was behind me.

Wednesday was day leaders meeting. At the end of the meeting I was persuaded to inform them of a coworker leaving, but the chair didn’t know how to respond.

Day four was working in translations at night and two different sermons coming up at end of the month in mandarin and English. It’s tricky but I thrived in these challenges.

Friday’s meeting didn’t end good when a coworker shared emigration plans. We had lunch and the matter was not brought up again.

On day six noon I invited an unhappy coworker to talk and the person didn’t like the way the the person handled it in front of all.

Sunday’s Ecclesiastes 4 Sunday school was full of tears. Over lunch a youth disappeared crying. I attended a funeral with buddy who invited me to dinner. The couple is a family to me. At night coworker said the persons happiness scale is 2/10. Sigh.

6.2

Year 6.2 was taxing but thrilling because of my new revelation series. This week I dreamed of Doris after a long lapse. I forgot what she said but it seems like our lives never stopped!

Day two was a more than normal meeting day where I lose a lot of sermon preparation time. P and KE D joined us for lunch. D has lots of talent to spare.

Wednesday was full steam ahead writing Revelation 3. My brain is running overtime, which is not good but it got things done. At night youth prayer I announced no more prayers third and fifth Wednesdays.

Day four was half office day and I was working on the Ecclesiastes translation Seven sent me. El helped me to give him a love gift because life is tough abroad.

Friday was 64. I lit a few candles since the island was devoid of activities. Life is upside down but I hold my ground.

Day six began with language ministry’s core meeting, then putting the final touch to the sermon and attending night fellowship.

Sunday arrived and I was busy with Sunday school before my sermon, which was my best in the short series so far!

6.1

Year 6 and counting has arrived! Monday was my sisters birthday and I had trouble sending money to her. Otherwise I skipped flowers due to an abundance of flowers given her.

Day two was all meetings but I was focused on translating Habakkuk after seven sent me the latest.

Wednesday was leaders night meeting so I can multitask because I was glad for the lucurt of moving full speed ahead with translating and putting all my sermons online. I even had night prayer with a few guys.

Day four was getting ready for my Ecclesiastes Sunday school into chapter 2. It’s been an exciting class so far. The pc was terrible though.

Friday M had a long talk with me. Might not renew because it’s not all roses so far. We will see what it leads to with pandemic in full force.

Day six was P return from quarantine and he’s in prayer for his future. I got to stand in the gap earlier than I thought.

Sunday sermon was taxing and I was dozing. Later all coworkers had to attend a talk meeting protocol. K brought dessert and we had a long discussion on their wedding future.

5.51

Year 5.51 was busy as ever. On Monday I had McDonald’s lunch, then got a hand massage, followed by a chiropractor visit! After doing more web revisions I head home for dinner.

Day two began with worship meeting that ended early. Lunch was joined by KE, Buddy   Xb and we had a good chat, followed by the usual coworkers meeting where I’ve been called to pray lately.

On Wednesday I started working on Revelation 4 because work time is often swallowed by meeting. After an hour I was to attend leaders prayer meeting.

Day four was half day but I’ve started to work  harder on my new message because time is running out.

Friday was P return to HK, so I had to work on a lot of issues. I was focused on revising New Testament links, so I’m happy with my progress.

Day six was department meeting and we ended on time. At night I was back to fellowship but the crowd was still sparse.

Sunday was a delightful day because Sunday school on Ecclesiastes had started but the AV was not cooperating. Nevertheless the class was exciting. T got Doris Mother’s Day flowers and I remembered fondly she used to grab flowers from church, mother or not, for the occasion!

5.50

Year 5.50 was a thankful week. Monday lunch was followed by flower shopping. Buddy xb and I had dinner when I dropped by after chiropractor.

Day two was spent working hard on my Sunday revelation sermon. After coworkers meeting rwe had division drinks for M last time.

Wednesday at night prayer I told all about possibility of getting sz to be replacement intern to help K out.

Day four was brainstorm with younger coworkers about a new worship but R was not particularly interested - no 靈魂人物 to carry it. People here are risk averse.

I told buddy Friday but he’s ever cautious. I’ll withdraw worship offer by end of the year. Cannot put my life on hold too long.

Day six was a public holiday but I had an urgent call to return because my intern forgot his keys! I stayed to listen to buddy’s night sermon, improved in observation but need inspiration.

Sunday sermon was revelation lift off. Cast Away helped my message last minute. I take the response for it’s difficulty. Even jie jies like it!

5.49

Year 5.49 was a dramatic week.  Monday was a day at the florist and a chiropractor visit that’s now been changed to mondays instead of Thursdays.

Day two was meeting with coworker to give him my philosophy:

Be humble, hardworking and helpful.

Learn Basics, balance and breakthrough!

Look, learn and listen!

Wednesday was noon work as night was leaders meeting. I did a lot of work since it was zoom! Later sz told guys he’s dating:)

Day four was one month before Doris’ fifth year of loss. I got beautiful roses. It was unbelievable that the English OT Grammar bible was completed for the big day!

Friday was near Sunday preaching but the study on 2 Pet 2 has no imperatives or hina so it was not as straightforward as before. At night I worked on Doris’ other blog cheerfulhelper to get it ready for next month.

Day six was special with our first fellowship bible study after the restrictions were relaxed. We had a great time.

Sunday was guys breakfast and a last minute study that reaped rewards. I decided to use contrasts and it was powerful and punchy, according to 600k two!

5.48

Year 5.48 was a new experience for me wearing a robe. On Monday I went o buy flowers for Doris and worked feverishly on grammar bible since I’m nearing the end. Buddy was around so we had dinner.

Day two was another day at work but I got to work harder on my sermon next week. It’s coming together with more observations. I got to see restructuring committee about my future involvement, be it as it may.

Wednesday was leaders morning meeting that was smooth. We even had lunch together courtesy of my pandemic stimulus check.

Day four was godsons birthday and we celebrated with youth. I made my first iMovie with our photos for the highlights.

Friday was pth meeting and the confirmation of   a coworker’s transfer. Of course I get my fair share of headache and stick.

Day six was our first physical pth fellowship and it was a good one. I sat through the adult couples bible study.

Sunday was a busy day. I have to lead lords supper for the newly baptized . I challenged them with forgiveness, love and grace.

5.47

Year 5.47 is a blessed week getting close to Grammnar bibles completion. Monday was a public holiday. On the way to lunch a coworker texted me and I asked the young man why he’s working, so I invited him to join me for lunch at central. I tried to stay away from work talk.

Day two was another public holiday. I almost went to work but for a jogging friend who told me he is not working from home but it’s a holiday! I had lunch with PhD who’s having relationship problems.

Wednesday was a big day at the office as I have to work on my sermon in two weeks time. It’s still up in the air. I’m not even close to understanding it’s richness.

Day four I had a early chiropractor appointment and I was trying to take back some comp days to work on GB. I’ve been at it nonstop. Ok

Friday was cdr day and I managed to work on my hardest case. At the end of the day it’s good for coworkers to have lunch together while I ate with buddy.

On day six I returned to noon work and attended night fellowship now that restrictions have relaxed. Tea was with buddy and dinner with v.

Sunday was k best. I told him he’s graduated at the right time. Newbie apologized for not trusting me. D cried using GB, it’s that powerful to coworkers.

5.46

Year 5.46 was the Easter week. On Monday I had breakfast with my favorite neighbor for the last time before he leaves for USA. He’s such a good servant of God.

Day two was a busy worship meeting that I attended but at least we got off early. It was followed by another meeting, where I blurted out, I’m not a country lover. It was hilarious because buddy said, love heavenly kingdom!

My coworker and I went to the airport to see the Laus off at the airport, where I met his parents. It’s a new journey for his family, but the older kid will stay with me briefly.

I was surprised to see buddy at the office but he said he came because he knew we were at the airport yesterday. I started working on my taxes. Later I discovered the deadline was extended.

Good Friday began with Kingston friends lunch. We had a great time and I gave them our latest book in exchange for a free lunch. Easter worship was special and everyone gave their all.

Day six was flat but at least friends were at work. I took youngster for lunch and the rest of the day was doing Grammar Bible.

Sunday was slow but we had a great Easter sketch program. All went well even a talk with a reluctant candidate!

5.45

Year 5.45 was to remember Doris. On Monday I got my haircut and bought flowers for the occasion. I remember my beloved a few times that day from exercise in the morning to my night stroll.

Day two was back to work where I must be in good grace lately because I was called to close in prayer. I attended a leadership training workshop that was food for thought.

On Wednesday we resumed prayer with the young at night. I don’t think I accomplished much but at least I got 2 Peter 2 outline nailed down.

Day four was half day work, so I went to the chiropractor. It was a quiet day at the office except we had lunch with buddy.

Friday was team building at Mui Wo. I noticed our team is quiet strong and capable in all we do, praise God! I returned to church after lunch at a good Turkish restaurant and coffee at McDonald’s.

Day six was Good Friday rehearsal. I think we did ok but there is room for improvement and surprises.

Sunday was a good day for worship. I received the wonderful news from my publisher I was the top seller and the third beset seller for the last three months of 2020, besting all favorite Pao!

5.44

Year 5.44 was a slow and uneventful week for me. On Monday I had lunch with buddy and a friendly deacon, who kindly advised me not to be too sharp with my choice of words! Ouch! R, P and I treated the Laus for lunch at OMA. Church life would be less honest without them.

On Day two I said our outsourced live worship has been handicapped for a year, which I repeated to leaders. Most coworkers agreed. Things should not be as is.

On Wednesday our leaders meeting ended past midnight, eventually passing her new plans, of which I abstained. There are more pressing matters locally to address, but it nevertheless passed..

Day four was recovery from the marathon meeting. Glad it was an online meeting. I couldn’t do much at the office so I took compensation to work on my own stuff.

On Friday I did the observations for revelation 3 that at least thrilled me. Don’t know what kind of church we are or become in crises in comparison with the seven churches in Rev 2 and 3.

Day six was a dreadful morning devotion. Later we met with pianist K for lunch sprinkling my favorite J in my conversations. M again messed up, this time with a dance routine that caused a person to leave the group.

Sunday was special because my buddy finally made a breakthrough using grammar bible that powered his Hab 2 sermon perfectly, helping him to walk the plank skillfully. I was so proud. XB concurred!

5.43

Year 5.43 was a climatic grammar bible week. On Monday I returned to leg massage but my chiropractor later warned me against it because it messed up my veins.

Day two was physical meeting once again and half time work at the office is permitted in preparation for full time office hours. We said goodbye to our favorite coworker Frank.

On Wednesday I received news my latest book has been accepted for publication. 同行無界 has been ready for a year but the pandemic put everything on hold.

Day four was lunch with a two weeks new navy coworker. Ministry in the new times is harder than usual and more staff is needed.

On Friday I’ve been having with my numbers in my new office pc - six of the keys malfunctioned. I’m glad I’ve been making progress and is nearly done with my second draft grammar Bible.

Day six was pth ministry meeting every two months and praise team rehearsal. A team practiced for Easter and things are rolling.

Sunday was the usual worship and lunch with coworkers. It’s also the end of my second draft revisions!

5.42

Year 5.42 was a relaxing day but i made a big change in revising my grammar Bible. Monday was a packed revival day so I decided to buy flowers nearer at Tsuen Wan and wontons as well.

Day two was the start of working on Revelation 2 the whole week. A KE coworker wanted to join me at lunch to tap my brain. Coworkers meeting returned to physical meetings.

On Wednesday night a youth P shared with me over dinner about her experience quarantined in China. Prayer meeting was canceled due revival meetings.

Day four was a chiropractor visit and a short time working a revelation. Other than that the revivals were going smoothly except for organization promotion that turned me off.

On Friday I met Indonesian Felix for the first time to hear of his language work first hand. It’s a hard life  ahead for him being single and jobless.

On Saturday I had zoom English meeting in the morning. Three of us can have lunch now. PA volunteered to open the choir doors so I was grateful.

Sunday was return to four restrictions and people really were happier for it. Today’s attack on democracy was shocking but symbolic and symptomatic.

5.41

Year 5.41 was a nostalgic week. Monday was four years and nine months after Doris’ loss. I had breakfast with my coworker neighbor but tears fell from my eyes in the morning when I was by myself reflecting. Later I went to get flowers for Doris at flower street.

Day two a few of us had lunch with a department coworker and his wife for lunar new year. Already two of my beloved coworkers had left and one soon!

I had an unexpected challenge Wednesday when a pastor asked me to help his team member with his emotional problems. It’s not easy for young guys in ministry.

Day four was a chiropractor visit in the new year with new but more expensive feet medication, charging me $850.

Friday was a long para church organization meeting but I survived it. Honestly I rather spend more time on grammar bible.

Day six was back to normal praise team practice with less restrictions. I’m glad my opinion on praise team rehearsal booking was eventually solved.

Sunday was early an breakfast with praise members and a talk with one about his possible future studies in USA.

5.39

Year 5.39 was lunar new year. On Monday I had breakfast with my leaving neighbor, did grammar and left to buy flowers among a sea of people at flower street. I was happy buying a discounted bonsai.

Day two was a chiropractor visit on his last day of work for new year. I was busy bee working on second week of grammar second draft.

On Wednesday relatives had a new year lunch and i had takeout for buddy. It was a short lunch but it’s good for those waiting for our seats. New year is coming and business is brisk.

Day four we had drinks before next day’s holiday. I had Eve dinner with Lau family.

New year was here on Friday. In the morning I wiped my tears thinking of Doris. At night the youth came for plate 🥘 and we had a good time.

Day six seven went to the peak for a walk. Lunch and even dessert. It was a good outing and I took the ferry home.

Sunday I was sad that work was unevenly distributed but I had grammar to attend to and finished till Lev 19!

Even fellowship was canceled.

5.38

Year 5.37 was calmer with less preaching and full throttle doing English grammar Bible. Monday was back to McDonald’s lunch, flower street and more grammar.

Day two was an extended two weeks leave to finish up on grammar first draft. I skipped worship committee.

Wednesday was cleaning day. My relative brought a friend to spruce up my house for cny. Our prayer meeting text was discussing Numbers 3.

Day four was busy with addressing coming week’s sermon. I have to think how to delete unwanted grammar strong numbers.

On Friday I was hard at work on my new 1 Peter 5 sermon and a new series on revelation, besides department meeting.

Day six was a relaxing retreat day online but I’m not invested in leadership for the immediate future.

On Sunday coworkers had fun with new Atem software and I talked to a new coworker. I barely finished Gen 4 on my second draft after two days.

5.37

Year 5.36 was a slower week. On Monday I was back to my lunch routine and getting flowers for Doris at flower street. I look for small pots now that lilies don’t bloom much.

Day two was at Tsuen wan dam to talk to a pth friend. He thought I know much because I advised him to sell his business three years ago before the pandemic.

On Wednesday we had a relatives early dinner but one didn’t show up so we had to reschedule but I bought takeout for buddy.

Day four was doing as much as I could on grammar before returning to work tomorrow.  My division coworkers never slacked!

Friday was suffocating because I had to interview two O candidates. In between I listened to k before his sermon Sunday.

Day six was slower but I had to prepare for my best sermon on1 Peter 5. I applied for two more weeks to work on grammar.

Sunday was a relaxing day because I was not preaching! I listened to three coworkers preaching and they’re gaining on me with grammar I taught them. K was good, a replica of me we teased him. I finished a lot on grammar at night.

5.36

Year 5.36 was a frenzied week with grammar bible, holiday and preaching at the same time. On Monday I was back at flower street before I returned to working GB. Flower street was busy with the new year coming.

Day two was another week of holiday for me till Thursday.  I was very happy finally collecting much of the trash at the neighborhood dam. An older lady who caught me in action complimented me for the hard work.

Wednesday breakfast was with my neighbor after failing to meet up two days ago. He’s got a lot on his mind counting down to his hk days. We had a good prayer meeting at night.

I got my hair cut for Doris’ four years and eight months of loss. The lady did not do a good job, so another took over. I was disoriented because it should be the next day.

On Friday I was back to work feverishly preparing for my Sunday sermon. Thankfully I have much of it covered today including the ppt. Already the PA was asking me for next months topic and text!

Day six was a better preparation day as the youth had practice. At night I continued to track the 4,483 lost “for” preposition in GB!

I woke late at 8 and crushed to church after a light exercise for breakfast and more preparation, not finishing till ten minutes before sermon time! Praise God all was well!

5.35

Year 5.35 was an active week preaching. Monday began with neighbor breakfast. The rest of the day was the usual working on English Grammar Bible followed by Angus lunch and buying flowers for Doris.

Day two was my weekday holidays, so I did not attend coworker meetings as I was feverishly working on GB. My presence was the office was a surprise to some.

Wednesday was lunch with my neighbor hosted by my coworkers. They will miss him but decided to host it earlier because he’s very popular!

Day four was supposedly a chiropractor visit but I still had the rashes. This would be my last day of the weeks holiday as I return to work on weekends.

On Friday I had to catch up with my Sunday sermon. The last point was not easy and I only got to nail it down before I left the office.

Day six was busy as buddy was also at the office. We had lunch and dinner was with v who visited me at the island as he was taking pictures for his work. We had pork knuckle and he left at 830. Today was special because I had finished two thirds of GB draft halfway through my holiday.

Sunday was an energetic day polishing my sermon early in the morning. It was a solo day as the moderator was sick. I gave it as good as it got and even ended up giving the other benediction as well!

5.34

Year 5.34 was a cold week.  On Monday rashes broke out all over my body. I got flowers for Doris and started work on the English OT grammar bible, which could take me more than a year.

Day two was enjoying the first week of my four weeks Tuesday to Friday off vacation because I have 38 days to burn before the new calendar takes effect in April.

Wednesday was Doris’ birthday and my SD godson sent me a tumbler at the same time. I walked the TY beachfront to remember her and had eight treasures bbq at the place we frequented there.

Day four was supposedly a  chiropractor visit but my rashes were full-blown, so I had to cancel.

Friday was a return to the office to settle a disagreement and work on my sermon next week. It’s getting into shape but needs a week more, at least.

Day six was vetting and department meeting. I have to work on icc year plan, which was a surprise to me. I had two lunches, one with division and another with buddy. I visited music practice before I had drinks again with buddy. It’s been long time no see for us.

Sunday was a slower time to church due to more time getting ready for the cold. Two coworkers’ YM and MY improvement was reason to rejoice!

5.33

Year 5.33 was as good as it got as I have accomplished most of my year’s writing work. On Monday I bought a bonsai for Doris, bought a Doraemon shower curtain and returned to church for writing and later home for dinner. There was a lot of washing and cleaning to prepare for the new year.

Day two was finishing up the last of my bible study questions for my new book People Jesus Met. As Doris would say, “It’s good!” It’s incredible that I managed to finish the sermons and questions in time, published or not.

On Wednesday my flu subsided just as I was about too see a neurologist. He was not helpful but he was doing his job and kindly gave me medication. I could return to office but I didn’t want others to catch flu from me.

Day four I returned to my chiropractor. At noon I remembered to apply for next month Tuesdays to Thursdays off so I can work on my OT Grammar Bible. At night I counted down the New Years with my godsons.

New Year Friday was a venture to ifc for a phone battery but I was discouraged by employees. I rested and had early dinner with single R and we had a good time. I went home and got a minions blanket for home.

Day six was back to church for music practice in the afternoon where we encountered AV problems.

I stated behind to accompany my coworker.

Sunday was preaching that turned out better after I worked on it in the morning. Youth fellowship 2020 video summary brought tears to my eyes. My coworkers went with me to get battery at Golden and we had snacks. At night I was at the Laus for dinner.

5.32

Year 5.32 was a fitting ending week of the year. On Monday I had my hair cut for Doris’ four years seven months loss tomorrow. I also talked to my neighbor who’s leaving for California soon. Godspeed to him.

Day two was a quiet day observing Doris loss. I woke up saying Good Morning Wife! I got a lot to do translating Christmas Eve message in two days time.

On Wednesday I got two translations done, which was a lot for even for a normal person! But what to do when minorities with needs are neglected?

Day four was Christmas eve, so I treated three coworkers to a lavish tea treat, complete with three decks of plates! We loved it as we shared the year’s ups and downs. I listened to two Online Eve messages.

Friday was holiday but our pth guys group had hotpot at my place, where I gave them a mini toy and a mask. It ended late but I still FaceTimed my sons.

Day six was holiday too. I had tea with English intern at Yuen Long. It’s a long road for upcoming graduates. Hope I can do something for them.

Sunday was here and I was responsible for Ruth youth fellowship talk with Eastern, Melinda and jack taking a chapter each. The self-composed songs at the end was touching.
