Year 4.48

Year 4.48 was a physical breakthrough for me. Monday was a public holiday in HK the day after Easter. I had my second McDonald’s Angus lunch but this time after the lunch crowd was gone.

Day two was the start of checking on and finishing up on bible study questions for my new series on Conflicts.
It was a big accomplishment for me.

Wednesday was a big step for me because for the first time in decades I can raise my “stroke” leg to climb over a knee high railing! Praise God. Night was Jack’s birthday as we surprised him with a sharing meeting in the guise of a prayer meeting.

Day four was coworkers mixer testing now that it is a routine and sacred hour! Also last week live was a flop in sound. My coworker was so glum and red-faced!

Friday was zoom pth meeting but I tried get some of my compensation leave back. I got most of my work done for the week, so I called it a day.

Day six was another tutor week with the guys. We did Pass It On, an old number as any. I treated the guys for dinner.

Sunday was worship day. I had to check if language group is ok and request lunch for them . Then I attended English live before giving benediction in Pth live- what a busy morning. Later we had coworkers lunch where I treated the ladies! I bought flowers and returned home for a rest.
It was the most humid day at night so far.

Year 4.47

Year 4.47 was a cautious health week for me. On Monday I had lunch with Calvin and later went to a fact finding rental trip to find a new place for our local language missions center. We decided on the nearer place.

Day two pressed a few panic buttons in me. I felt dizzy after lunch, maybe sleepy! Then I had diarrhea the following few days and bought Po chai pills; it did not work!

On Wednesday we had zoom leaders distance meeting that was again hard to follow but bearable. I had a sudden urge to translate Good Friday materials to English for English speaking folks.

Day four begin with a Mc lunch after a long absence. Church is suddenly more lively because a few coworkers are returning to test their mixers and practice musical instruments.

Friday was a public holiday and Good Friday, but I made the most out of my MW char siu lunch before I went to a funeral parlor. Later buddy and wife and I had dinner where an employee says they don’t make enough to cover rent.

Saturday was a restful day. I had finally finished my new book and will work on questions later.
As usual I made the most of my time writing and resting.

Sunday was icc live and English live. I preached my heart out but the sound was muffled. I entered the last names of recipients for my new book by WhatsApp delivery and went to buy flowers.

Year 4.46

Year 4.46 was virus tricky. On Monday I had nowhere to go due the rain, so I settled for TY McDonald’s and cone dessert. It was a restful and restless day.

Day two coworkers meeting was canceled. I cannot complain as I have an Easter message to prepare. 1Peter 2 Easter message is quite a challenge.

On Wednesday we had a long leaders meeting but buddy was around to catch me later for drinks. We also chatted with our PA before her first day of work.

Day four was slow because my chiropractor is still sick. My coworkers had a new mixer to try out and I sang to escape testing. At night I had a live SC report.

Friday was a slow day too. I was worried how godson is holding up in lockdown. It’s slow for us but it’s lockdown for him. He’s missing church life.

Day six was a nervy young overseas candidate interview. I had my day full with guitar practice and dinner plus prayer.  I bought flowers for Doris on Tomb sweeping day.

On Sunday I had a bad stomach early in the morning, so I was cautious for coronavirus. We had LIVE on the English side and had lunch with my department coworkers.

Year 4.45 was a live week. Monday was a restful day, so I went to get dumplings and found a cloth mask for $70.

Day two meeting was canceled because of the lack of agenda. I was getting ready for my Easter sermon.

Wednesday was another  meeting but I zoomed instead seeing the attendance of a friend whose kid just returned from overseas. Buddy and I had lunch by ourselves at 230 after the meeting.

Day four was a good day because I was about to finish my the last sermon on my future book on conflict.

Friday was English dinner at Tsing Yi. We ordered Vietnamese food and had a great time.

Day six was early zoom, so I had to work whole day and canceled my leave. My coworkers asked me why I take so many off days and not extend and I replied, Today not know tomorrow stuff! We had another youth guitar jam session and dinner.

Sunday was a big English and putonghua both live worship! Youth praise team had to step up because another team did not show up.
