Year 4.27

Year 4.27 is a pleasant climax, for a change. On Monday the passé at Poly U were messy, with no end in sight. Hearts were down and hopes were fading. I had breakfast with CU Alex.

Day two church statement made the rounds with two sides polarized. A few forceful ones made their voice heard, but they were in the minority.

Wednesday night leaders was canceled to be replaced by online voting. I was confirmed handily this way.

Day four’s lunch and tea were canceled. One was sick. I went to get a hair cut for tomorrow. A coworker surprisingly wore the same shirt I wore for work.

Friday was remembering Doris three and a half years loss. I gave coworkers my new book in her memory. At night I had dinner with the boys, who will attend a retreat the next day.

Day six was chiropractor appointment in the afternoon, followed by a rare night preaching session on Lamentations 1, which was my worst sermon for a long time few weeks ago. Praise God it turned out right this time.

Sunday was nervous time as I had to exercise in the morning before preaching at the 8:30am session. At least I remembered the time just last night. There was a graduation ceremony and dinner to attend, and voting to end the night on a high note.

Year 4.26

Year 4.26 was an unimaginably bad week. Monday was a boycott day. I almost missed a chiropractor appointment but got there five minutes late after calling that I could cancel because the trains were not moving. Our birthday with colleague Grace was canceled, so was church couples 1111 night.

Day two we had staff prayer meeting for HK and a short meeting. I had a straight talk with buddy about how he’s not leading in his job.

Wednesday transport was so bad I had to turn back home. Leaders morning meeting was canceled. I tried again in the afternoon but it did not work. Thankfully XB called me that her lwy will take care of things.

On day four I had to see two chiropractors but I’m not complaining because it was not easy for them to get around too. Other chiropractors have no patients.

On Friday like many days this week, I got home earlier. I was worried for a CU student who will finally chose to leave campus tomorrow.

Day six morning was a good day because I got to hear Choi speak at our morning worship. It was a good message. Young guys joined me.

Sunday retreat was canceled. It was an extremely bad day for HK as Poly U students were trapped inside the university. I woke up 3am to pray and watch TV.

Year 4.25

Year 4.25 was disastrous in the worst way possible. Monday was ok as I bought flowers and the usual midst chores but I try to stay home to rest and do some writing.

UST student Chow was shot early 1am Tuesday morning. Coworkers have injection day but I’m beginning to work on Lamentations 3, another beautiful passage.

Wednesday morning was leaders prayer meeting, when I cried for Chow who was in coma. A month ago another boy was shot a day before our prayer meeting. I did not join lunch together because I needed to temper myself down. Percy joined me for lunch and I told him how i felt and I felt better.

Day four was chiropractor day on my half day office. Two joined me for dinner and I snoozed after dinner. Night was at library.

Friday was terrible. Chow passed away and HK was in grief and chaos. It’s Hk’s turning point with vengeance being voiced in the streets. I went with xb and Yf to meet Samuel on what’s the next step for their kids.

Day six was lunch with Peter, eastern and Tracy before pth meeting. The boys were hiking so I left after fellowship. The fellowship had combined groups.

Sunday was last SS class and it was easily my best course. The students bought a lot of my new books that arrived just in time. After all was over we six had hiT.

Year 4.24

Year 4.24 was an uneasy week with sermon looming. On Monday I headed to Mui Wo for coworkers retreat and had good conversation and company with KL. The sharing at night was very good.

Day twos retreat was highlighted by Ls good message- humorous, transparent and positive. I feel he’s ready for the challenge ahead. I returned to the office after lunch to get ready for TS preaching tomorrow.

TS turned out better than I thought the next day, so good that a students blue spouse started saying hi to me two days later.

Day four was chiropractor, followed by lunch with a grouchy D leader. I had lots to do with Sunday Lamentations sermon still up in the air. The day was very disappointing as I was the only dissenting vp vote.

On Friday night a pth young man joined us for dinner and stayed overnight because night travel is uneasy nowadays. We went for Vietnamese dinner.

Day six was the busiest day in a long while, with A mom funeral in the morning and buddy daughter’s wedding in the afternoon and dinner at night, so much so I took the day off to attend all! I realized the American in me when I asked a couple blocking our wedding view to please move aside.

Sunday school and sermon was a flop Sunday because the sermon was too lengthy.
We had HiT at Edward before returning home. Still we ate light at night.
