Year 3.46

Year 3.46 was a game changer for me. On Monday I had tutoring in the morning as usual but with more challenge into the last week of church fasting. Chiropractor was canceled too.

On day two I had to focus on my coming week’s sermon on 1 John 2. It was disjointed in many ways no matter how much time I put into organizing it. At night my blister popped and it didn’t look good.

On Wednesday morning was our usual leaders meeting, and for one quiet morning I had no agenda listed. The day ended peacefully with lunch. My sermon mind was not working. At night fellowship there was a ppt misunderstanding.

Day four was more pain from foot massage in the morning, followed by lunch with language coworker. I had no breakthrough on my sermon apart from a useful illustration. At night I joined student for more language tutoring.

On Friday we had yum cha. I took the morning off and returned to my office to finish up my PowerPoint in the afternoon. I cringed when I looked at a coworker’s sermon but out of courtesy to his supervisor I did not insist.

Day six morning was troubling as I woke up at 5 am thinking of a coworker’s plight. I decide to write down how to advocate for him. Walking helped. By noon 50percent of the letter was done. Buddy said I had to send it in a day or two or all was lost. At night I fine tuned  it to the point it was ready to be sent after a night’s rest.

On Sunday I woke up and put my last touch on a letter up to my sermon standard and sent it at 10am before the dismissal re-evaluation meeting was conducted, not wanting more drama. The sermon was blessed despite the lack of time I put into it. The dismissal meeting went as well as it could. At night pth youth had dinner at my place. It was fun with 12 of us taking a selfie in the lift!
